Black News Channel is looking for a proven, dedicated, and hardworking Executive Producer with strong control room experience and great editorial judgment and the ability to serve as the editorial point person throughout the build of the show. Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages, coaches, and motivates a team of producers, reporters, anchors, and photojournalists who are committed to excellence
Manages all aspects of breaking news, and social engagement
Oversight of the preparation of a rundown and scripts for the newscasts
Oversight of the use of all our graphics resources to enhance our presentation
Coaching producers, reporters, and photojournalists
Leading editorial meetings and pitching enterprise stories in editorial meetings
Must perform administrative duties including scheduling, performance reviews, training and providing critical feedback.

Requirements & Skills:
Five years prior news producing experience and strong editorial skills
Possess a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field
High level of communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent judgement
Experience with ENPS a plus
Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and copy-editing skills
Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
Must be available to work holidays, shifts that include nights, weekends and overnights, and flexible with schedule to be available during breaking news
Possess a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field
