Job Description
The Associate Producer is responsible for production of on-air true crime content for Court TV.
Responsibilities
Produce and edit true crime content for air
Provide support for live show teams throughout the day
View and select the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for show teams
Package production; order and/or produce graphics, create banners and chyrons; prepare editing requests and use technological tools to research and gather archive video
Ensure all video elements are prepared properly for air and metadata records include accurate details
Work in front row of the control room to communicate the status of video elements and ensure best elements are available quickly
Provide support for live show teams throughout the day

Skills & Abilities
Must possess journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
Strong editorial skills: ability to identify key and compelling moments in raw footage
Proficient in non-linear editing: Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro
An interest or passion for true crime stories and a strong interest in live trial coverage
Must be able to calmly disseminate and communicate breaking news and important information during live events
Must be an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of iNews and Nesbit is helpful
Social media expertise
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
Looking for someone who is eager, cooperative, energetic and team-oriented
Strong editorial skills: ability to identify key and compelling moments in raw footage

Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
