The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with extensive experience in entertainment marketing. You breathe and are inspired by the latest movie trailer, show opens, animation styles. You must have strong narrative and musical instincts and know how to creatively solve for challenges or iterations required in post-production.

Summary

ITVS is looking for a Senior Editor Producer to join a small but experienced in-house Creative Services unit to inspire the team with their concepts and command of the art of promo editing, and grow its post production capabilities and motion graphics efforts internally.

You will be responsible for developing creative concepts and editing on-air and off-air promotions, sizzle reels, and social media promotional content for the Emmy® award-winning documentary series Independent Lens as well as ITVS institutional projects.

The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with extensive experience in entertainment marketing. You breathe and are inspired by the latest movie trailer, show opens, animation styles. Essential Functions

Provide leadership to editors, developing workflows for broadcast delivery, asset management, and inter-team editing processes.
Work closely with Creative Director, Art Director, Graphics Designers and Producers to create innovative, compelling AV creative to meet the needs of on-air, digital and social media campaigns ensuring proper branding on all elements.
Brainstorm and script promos and social content from creative brief to completion.
Liaise with Post Supervisor to oversee finishing preps for picture, graphics and audio elements.
Collaborate with internal marketing and content teams (and, at times, external partners) to concept and problem solve based on creative briefs.
Help to develop creative and strategic frameworks to push best-in-class execution.
Deliver edits and projects on-time while always pushing the envelope on creativity and flawless execution.
Ensure all video deliverables fall within the overall campaign timelines and budget.
Research new trends, techniques, platforms, and tools to develop engaging social content that converts.
Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Expert-level command of design and motion applications, standard design applications, and video editing software including Adobe Creative Suite video products (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Knowledge of all elements required for TV and Theatrical finishing

Be able to give valuable, definitive feedback on ideation and framing
Basic understanding of broadcast deliverables and delivery methods
High degree of attention to detail, specifically when handling multiple video projects, versioning, and receiving feedback from project owners.
Firm understanding of video compression and standard codecs used for broadcast and online
Solid understanding of quality control
Comfort with autonomy and nimble team structure
Willing to support leadership’s decision and direction in a positive, professional and cooperative manner. Great sense of humor is helpful too!
Positive and solution-based attitude
Enjoys working as a team member as well as independently.
Able to work cross functionally, and effectively as part of team

. Requirements:
Required: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a broadcast television or media production environment.
Required: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
Required: Fluent in A/V formats with an understanding of the fundamentals of promo editing – how story, music and rhythm, motion graphics, and sound design plays into the creative process.
Preferred: Experience within a marketing, production company, or editorial house.
Preferred: Strong narrative and musical instincts.
Preferred: Experience creating all forms of video content (30 second commercials, social vids, short for content)
