Senior Compositor
Summary
Crafty Apes is a high-end visual effects boutique with a strong foothold in features and episodic television. We are looking for Senior Compositors with experience in episodic TV and feature formats. The perfect candidate needs to be a dependable team player with a great attitude and able to make fast turnarounds. This is a full-time hourly paying staff position with overtime as needed. Relocation expenses will be provided.

Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the most difficult shots.
Seamlessly integrate the various layers or elements of a live-action shot.
Tackle shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation and creation of elements, etc.
Extract mattes from blue/green screen photography.
Pay strong attention to detail, sense of color, color-space and lighting.
Composite multi-pass CG elements to create photo real shots.
Maintain clean and efficient script organization.
Communicate progress of work to Coordinators, Producers, Leads and Supervisors in a timely fashion.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a compositor in episodic, commercial or feature VFX.
Must excel in tracking and blue/green screens comps.
Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop, Boujou/Syntheyes/Mocha, Primatte/Keylight/Ultimatte.
Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.
