Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Animation Supervisor in the development of the animation style for new Nickelodeon CG shows.
Animate character tests/scenes.
Work with storyboards, story reels, recorded dialogue, set layout, and direction to animate key scenes in the early stages of episodic production.
Help in the testing of the functionality of the character rigs.
Generate character model sheets, cycles, and other pose reference for the storyboard artists.
Provide technical support and assist with the creative direction of the overseas animators.
Work with the R&D team to help create tools to streamline animation workflow for the internal /vendor studios.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or certificate in CG/classical animation, film, or related field, or 3-4 years of production animation experience.
Strong understanding of traditional animation principles.
Must have computer character animation experience in Maya.
Must have a demo reel that demonstrates an application of the principles of animation, and exceptional performance and acting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or certificate in CG/classical animation, film, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience.
