Job Description

Main duties are to support the Director, along with coordinating all news/entertainment and production activities. The AD will provide a key link between the Director, Producers and Production team. 

YOUR DAY-DAY:
  • Code in Ross Overdrive automation 
  • Back time video clips and packages 
  • Use iNEWS (Newsroom Computer System) to edit the rundown 
  • Oversee and facilitate production elements, including graphics, music, and all other related presentation elements at the director’s request 
  • Edit templates on TemplateEditor 
  • Manage audio faders in DirectControl 
  • Call for manual triggering of graphic elements 
  • Act as a Technical Production Coordinator (TPC) when scheduled 
  • Acquires and coordinates the routing of signals  
  • Handles and coordinates the routing of control room sources 
  • Act as a Video Control Operator (VCO) when scheduled using Ross CamBot Robotic Camera system with user interface and joystick panel
  • Adjust iris, white balance, black balance, etc. assuring a quality picture for each studio camera  
  • Drive, adjust pan, tilt, zoom, etc. of the robotic cameras if needed  
  • Knowledge of lighting board and bringing up lighting cues 
  • Direct light productions including news briefs and updates using RundownControl 
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • 5-10 years of experience in production programs in studio with Automation and Manual operations; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved 
  • Knowledge of Ross Vision switcher, Ross Cambotics (Robotic Camera System), Miranda panels and RTS 
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) 
  • Knowledge of equipment utilized in production, TV studio and control room  
  • As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.  Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
