Job Description
The Daily
- The Associate Producer is responsible for creating high-quality NBA highlights that tell the story of the game in 2minutes or less. Also writes/approves shot-sheets and runs the entire highlight operation on a nightly basis while in constant communication with the control room.
- Associate Producer also works on Franchise Segments and Specialty Shows with an eye toward producing nightly NBATV shows.
- APs must be familiar with all important NBA storylines and the elements that go with them
- APs also schedule and supervise freelance loggers and editors and perform time sheet functions with those freelancers.
- APs collaborate with entire NBATV production team on all shows, storylines, initiatives
- APs collaborate with Turner Multimedia group and Inside The NBA Production group daily as well as Turner Social Team
- APs also collaborate with NBAE production colleagues
The Essentials
- Minimum of 5 years experience in broadcast/content production.
- Must have strong understanding of and appreciation for the NBA on-the-court as well as the culture of the league and business side as well
- Knowledge of editing software like Premiere Pro helpful
- Good writing skills are required
- Candidates must be extremely flexible and willing to work off hours, weekends and nights as needs dictate
- Four-year degree or commensurate work experience
