Summary

Bally Sports Arizona is seeking an Associate Producer (AP)! Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the AP is primarily responsible for filling various roles on the Bally Sports Arizona Production team. The AP will be asked to prepare, edit and distribute production elements for all of the Network’s remote productions.

Job Description

The AP will also be the point person for both game and pregame producers and help edit content for daily shows, original programs and occasionally serve as Associate Director for pro sports events. The candidate will be responsible for training all new Production Assistants on the network's workflow on edit row and will also be responsible for maintaining the Music Cue Sheet database for remote productions and making sure that cue sheets are submitted in a timely manner.

Responsibilities :
  • Produces features & elements for pre-game and-post-game shows for assigned telecasts, magazine shows, specials and features as needed
  • Works in conjunction with Coordinating Producer and Show Producer on show content and presentations
  • Works with Operations to coordinate and to set up events and productions
  • Assists in developing less experienced staff and freelance employees
  • Produces any needed documents for each event
  • With help from the Coordinating producer, the AP will train all new Production Assistants on the network's workflow on edit row
  • Will also work with the CP to maintain the Music Cue Sheet database for remote productions and ensure that cue sheets are submitted in a timely manner
  • Schedules and participates in meetings and conference calls related to productions, as required
Requirements and Qualifications :
  • Bachelors degree (preferably in Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film) required and equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in live studio or remote show productions
  • Attention to detail and a desire to consistently deliver high-quality work is required
  • Experience in working with on-air talent, production crews and in studio productions is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook are required
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with team partners is needed
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills are needed
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays is necessary
  • The ability to operate video cameras, videotape decks and non-linear editing equipment is necessary
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively with changing priorities and deadlines is essential
  • A demonstrated ability work without supervision in a high pressure environment is essential
  • Knowledge of Television Remote Production Facilities is essential
  • The ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed when moving equipment to and from locations
  • Must be able to drive a car and hold a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to travel as assigned and attend live sporting events
  • Basic math skills are needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
Preferred Skills and Experience :
  • Ability to edit using AVID Systems preferred
  • Must be able to perform in a deadline-oriented environment
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
