Job Description

In this full-time role, you will curate and manage on-ground and virtual events, and support SCADFILM leadership in its mission as the leading producer of premier events for students and professionals working in film, television, animation, gaming, AR/VR, performing arts, and video production. You will conduct research and pre-interviews on potential SCADFILM topics and guests; pitch ideas for quality programming; and coordinate outreach at SCAD Atlanta to publicize events to students and staff, including tours of the Digital Media Center and SCAD to prospective students and industry guests.
 
As an associate producer and director, you will engage with industry and advocacy groups on behalf of SCAD and participate in public speaking events on behalf of SCADFILM. You will serve as a liaison for SCAD legal and publicity departments on paperwork, releases, and licensing, and in general for faculty and staff; provide administrative support to the producer/director, assist with attendance and ticket management, and maintain event files for SCADFILM. Among other duties, you will also monitor the entertainment industry in Georgia, attend networking events in Atlanta, support SCAD events, and manage transportation for on-site events as needed.
 
The successful candidate exhibits exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and can use these abilities to establish rapport with high-profile guests, students, staff, and faculty. The candidate should maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism. The candidate should also thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle demanding requests with flexibility and poise.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in event, film, and/or television production
  • Ability to travel as needed domestically and internationally with limited notice
  • Proficient with relevant technical skills and virtual production tools
