Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Fact check copy/Inews for Hot Topics (intros, outros, questions, snipes, plugs, etc)
- Check banners and graphics for errors, spelling issues, etc.
- Pull research for Co-Hosts to assist Hot Top producers.
- Fact check during live show for any misstatements or errors by Co-Hosts or guests.
- Fact check segment producers' scripts and teases.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in a television news/politics or talk show setting
- Strong research and writing skills are a must with ability to work under extreme deadlines
- Proven ability to make editorial judgments as well as an overall understanding of news programs
- Strong experience with various research/information banks including social media, press briefing, newspapers, periodicals, etc
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
