Job Description
Operational Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize, process, and track audio post production projects from initial client request through final delivery and financial closing. This includes work order creation, resource/operator scheduling, project prioritization, and billing.
- Serve as primary customer service contact and maintain timely/accurate communications
- Research, organize and track audio/video source assets
- Prepare schedules and cost estimates for client projects
- Ensure project deadlines are met and remain within budget
- Provide clear, detailed, concise work orders to audio production crew
- Remediate and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure accurate delivery to Inventory of all audio masters and deliverables
- Ensure accurate billing entry and timely final submission in ordering system
- Work closely with Studio Finance to ensure the accuracy of weekly accrual / financial reporting
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Operations team to establish priorities, staffing requirements, and department production schedules
- Liaise between technical teams and clients to ensure issues, information, and recommended solutions are fully expressed and understood by all parties
- Provide best-in-class service to clients through all project stages
- Establish trusting partnerships and clear lines of communication with clients and co-workers
- Foster and maintain supportive, working relationships with clients and external vendors
- Develop and expand leadership skills
- Devote time to expanding knowledge of internal procedures and workflows
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working in project management in a post production environment
- Extensive knowledge of digital/analog formats and standards used in audio post production
- Proficiency in audio post production workflows
- Experience working with work order management software
- High level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal, client-facing communication skills
- Advanced time management and process improvement skills
- Must be able to organize and manage work effectively
- Must be able to work efficiently under time constraints
- Must be able to work proactively with multiple tight deadlines
- Must be able to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced, challenging environment
- Must be able to work independently and self-motivate, but alternately in a team structure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates’ degree in Film, Television, Electronic Media, Communications or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in ProTools
- 2 years of experience working in sound design, editorial, recording, or similar pursuit
