Job Description

In the broadcast and on-demand delivery chain, the Audio Editor enables file-based workflows and delivery to client approval services and systems.

Responsibilities
•    Operate digital audio workstations (principally Pro Tools) and associated outboard equipment and integrated consoles.
•    Complete technical QC evaluations of long form programming assets to ensure program masters meet technical specifications set forth by Starz.
•    Synchronize ATMOS/7.1/5.1/2.0/1.0 audio to picture, to include effects, dialog, voiceover, and music.
•    Collaborate with producers/project managers to generate high quality material consistent with a nationally recognized premium program service.
•    Edit and mix audio tracks for Starz promotional material.
•    Manage audio/video assets through supply chain from start to finish.
•    Maintain high level of project media and metadata organization with our work-in-progress asset management systems.
•    Utilize signal monitoring equipment to measure & evaluate audio and metadata content to match outgoing delivery requirements and SMPTE, ATSC, NTSC recommended practices, especially in terms of broadcast loudness standards.
 
Qualifications & Skills
•    At least 3 years of experience in broadcast post-production with direct audio editing/mixing experience of content placed nationally for advertising agency clients; and/or nationally distributed broadcast or cable network service.
•    Proven editorial experience using Pro tools. 
•    Professional application of audio signal monitoring and processing to maintain loudness to prevailing specification and recommended practice by SMPTE, ATSC and FCC.
•    Experience with multi-track distribution and conforming within Pro Tools.
•    Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
•    Good time-management skills
•    Great interpersonal and communication skills
•    Experience evaluating the audio content of long form content for television is strongly preferred
