Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to learn the technical infrastructure of a working broadcast facility by supporting the technical needs of our 10 Milwaukee stations and news operations.
- In this role, you will learn and gain hands-on experience with installation and maintenance of broadcast television and IT related equipment including routers, switches, encoders, multiplexers, video servers, cameras, wireless microphones, intercom systems, and signal processing and conversion devices.
- As a Technician you will also assist in the running and termination of cables including coax, network and audio and will play a vital role in live news production.
- No broadcast news experience necessary but must be able to prioritize and work independently and have a service focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively and the desire to learn.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking, computer hardware and software, and interest in electronics is a plus.
- This position will require flexibility in schedule including mornings, nights and weekends.
