Job Description

The Daily Responsibilities:

This social media-obsessed intern will report to the Senior Digital Content Strategist and work across CNN Underscored's social channels. Some responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to the overall TikTok and Instagram social strategy
  • Take full ownership of CNN Underscored's Instagram #NowTesting series
  • Take full ownership of CNN Underscored's Instagram What You Missed series
  • Create 1x TikTok video per week (this includes sourcing a product, pitching a concept, creating a shot list, and filming high-quality video clips)
  • Community management across TikTok and Instagram
  • Draft 50 Facebook and Twitter posts per week
  • Actively participate in social and editorial brainstorming meetings
  • Work on a semester-long project about social commerce
The Essentials:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior student (18 years or older)
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Experience with Adobe Premier Pro, Canva, Later, Instagram and TikTok native insights, Crowdtangle
About the Internship Program:
  • Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
  • Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
  • Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
