Summary
The client has a rare opening on one of the only local television station documentary teams in the country. We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic, multi-skilled video journalist to join its seasoned reporter/producer in the creation of timely and important documentary films. You’ll have the support, time and resources to create work that matters, along with the ability to manage your own deadlines and hours. The ideal candidate will be curious about the world, passionate about creating real change, comfortable with accountability journalism and familiar with investigative journalism techniques.

This client is seeking a qualified specialty photojournalist to work full-time with the Documentary Team. This position requires sound news judgment, a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility in work schedules and assignments. Commitment to excellence is a must. This person must be able to travel on assignments and possess a wide range of technical skills, 3rexpert editing skills, and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly. Meshing with the team is as important as your skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
Five years of news photography and non-linear editing experience required, and three years of experience shooting and editing documentaries preferred.
Drone operation experience is a plus.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in areas and conditions that are often noisy, have many distractions, and in extreme weather.
Must have manual dexterity to operate camera and editing equipment.
Must be able to move quickly inside and outside on uneven, unfamiliar terrain and areas, and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, carry and move with up to 50lbs in many environments including outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
A pre-employment drug screening is required. EOE, M/F. All client properties are tobacco free. Client participates in E-Verify.
