Part-Time Data Reporter Temporary

The data reporter will be part of our Data Trackers team and will collect and analyze numbers and stats to discover impactful trends or storylines. This temporary position will be expected to work 25 - 30 hours a week, and while some time at the station is necessary, working remotely is also possible.

This person will be engaged in research, searching for patterns and connections in data, and be responsible for creating and updating databases as needed. This individual should have strong writing skills with the ability to be precise, while maintaining an authentic and conversational tone. The reporter will also work with developers and multimedia designers to create interactive and visual representations of data for digital and on-air platforms.

Qualifications:
·         Experience analyzing data for trends
·         Strong writing skills
·         Database reporting and/or research experience
·         Knowledge of data visualization tools
·         Interest in learning about public records and investigative journalism
