Job Description

The candidate will partner with our client’s creative director and our internal supervisor daily through the entire production process. This position offers the opportunity to have a strong voice in the overall creative process. In-depth knowledge of character and product rendering is required with expert time management in producing quality work. This person will need to work East Coast (ET) hours. This is a remote-work opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bridge the gap between client and marketing render team to create concept art for new intellectual property in the form of marketing renders 
  • Capture the essence and potential backstory of a character with a single pose. This involves finding and providing creative references for the internal director and other stakeholders 
  • Production of five to six sketches in a day (Including reference material, iterations, alternates, and options)
  • Ability to interface with internal supervisor and client’s creative director on daily basis and in a professional manner 
  • Good sense of time management and the ability to hit deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned 
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in animation, film, or game development focusing on conceptual artwork 
  • Strong foundation in anatomy, form, gesture, rhythm, and color theory 
  • Solid understanding of all aspects of concept art regarding illustration and design 
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Procreate, and/or other painting and sketching software 
  • Ability to render out work and deliver it to the client in a presentable manner
  • Explanation of creative choices and take creative direction
  • Carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration
  • Able to work East Coast (ET) time zone hours
