SCOPE:

Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking to hire COVID-19 Health & Safety Consultants on TV and movie productions throughout the US. This is a contract position, no benefits, for a set amount of time supporting an on-site production.

There are opportunities in the following areas: Los Angeles, CA | New York City | Atlanta, GA | New Orleans, LA | Canada – Vancouver, Toronto.

Accountable to the Line Producer and SPE Security, Safety and Sustainability (S3) management, the COVID-19 Health & Safety Consultant will support one or more motion picture and television productions with the implementation, operationalization and ongoing compliance with production COVID prevention protocols. Additionally, the COVID-19 Health & Safety Consultant will ensure compliance with entertainment industry guidelines and federal, state and local government COVID regulations and provisions of applicable collective bargaining agreements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examples of expectations and deliverables includes:

• Implement and operationalize the company’s COVID-19 prevention program on each production as assigned

• Assist in the development of production-specific COVID-19 action plans

• Conduct Risk Assessments of production offices, stages, workshops and mills prior to occupancy to determine appropriate COVID safeguards are identified and implemented.

Examples include; workplace modifications such as access/egress paths and physical distancing and hygiene/disinfection requirements

• Monitor all regulations, guidelines, protocols relating to the safeguarding of cast and crew from COVID-19

• Manage the distribution and inventory of PPE, disinfectant/hygiene materials and equipment

• Manage the pre-work health screening process and physically support said screenings when necessary

• Work in conjunction with Production Management and S3 to facilitate as needed access approvals and denials, isolation and quarantine requirements, and return to work process of potentially infected cast and crew

• Manage the Production’s COVID-19 testing program including but not limited to: facilitating test scheduling, vendor interaction and account maintenance, data administration, managing appropriate notification to regulatory agencies, and SPE management on testing results as necessary

• Manage the hygiene, routine cleaning and disinfection of stages, equipment and workspaces, including assisting in the procurement of internal/external resources to conduct said services, and identify when hygiene and cleaning practices need to be amended or expanded

• Ensure that initial training and ongoing education of cast and crew relating to COVID-19 precautions and Production policy is conducted and validated. This will include education for new hires, transient/temporary workers, vendors, guests and extras/background performers

• Conduct routine inspection of the workplace to ensure that COVID-19 policy and procedure is being operationalized at the Production level

• Attend and as necessary conduct daily safety briefings and provide ongoing guidance and support to production staff with COVID compliance requirements

• Work in conjunction with Locations Dept. to review and assess, both pending and secured locations for COVID-19 protection requirements and safeguarding

• Work in conjunction with Production Management to identify the appropriate COVID-19 precautions are in place, including when supplemental labor may be required to ensure compliance

• Work proactively with Production Management, SPE Physical Production staff and SPE S3 to execute and manage SPE’s COVID-19 safeguarding expectations and corporate deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of production experience on set

• At least 2-5 years managing or owning a lot of the tasks • Experience with heavy logistics and managing large groups of people

• Willingness and ability to undergo specialized training on COVID-19 health and safety precautions, policies and procedures

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently is required

• Ability to effectively communicate COVID-19 policy and procedure, across all levels of production, in a clear, concise and effective manner is required

• Domestic/regional travel may be required • Position requires on-call 24/7 availability

• Working knowledge of the motion picture/television physical production process is desirable

• Medical professional certification (minimally EMT II level) is desirable
