Job Description

This role manages the SFFILM website CMS which is the flagship of the SFFILM brand. They participate in the development, execution, compliance, and reporting of all tactical campaign content for year-round programs and campaigns, including the SFFILM Festival. In strategic partnership with the Communications Systems Manager, the Digital Content Manager leads the creative services production timelines working closely with project managers, coordinators, and contractors to manage volume of deliverables by setting SMART goals and feasible cross-departmental deadlines, and creates reports with identified KPIs.

This is a full-time role that can be performed remotely, but strong preference for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
  • Execute brand strategy by maintaining editorial and campaign content calendar for SFFILM website, email marketing, social, and branded digital media (supported by/in collaboration with the Communications Systems Manager)
  • Support the research, creative ideation, and development of integrated brand, content, and communications strategies
  • Support the research, development, compliance, and maintenance of SFFILM collateral and products including tickets, passes, memberships, and sponsor packages
  • Support the creation and dissemination of creative briefs for various projects and campaigns
Website Content Creation & Management:
  • Manage SFFILM brand, program, and event content on SFFILM website ensuring it serves org-wide priorities and audience engagement
  • Oversee all SFFILM web edits, ensuring that the website is up to date and containing accurate information
  • Collaborate with and eventually lead relationship with UX/UI designer to make annual strategic content assessment and changes to the website
  • Lead vendor relationship with Zero Pivot, working collaboratively with the Communications department to understand org-wide and project specific web needs and translate them to web designers
Email Content Creation & Management:
  • Build email campaigns for SFFILM campaigns programs and support email copywriting and editing
  • Work collaboratively with Communications Systems Manager to maintain email marketing calendar to ensure an effective rhythm of outreach to constituents
  • Provide monthly reports of email KPIs
Social Media Content Creation & Management:
  • In collaboration with the communications team, create social media posts for all social channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Create a community manager plan to respond to comments and inquiries on social media
  • Work collaboratively with Graphic Designer to request social media asset creation and support light editing of social media graphics and assets
  • Provide monthly reports of social media KPIs
Branded Collateral and Digital Media Content Creation & Management:
  • In collaboration with the communications team, devise a content production plan for annual updates to branded collateral (pitch decks, marketing materials, etc.) and slides for theatrical and online events
  • Support Graphic Designer in the creation of video assets, editing in bumpers and other branding into videos before deployment across channels
  • Identify video production and editing needs, working with the Director of External Relations to contract editors and crews for production
  • Create and distribute content toolkits and assets as needed for various SFFILM projects and programs

  • Fluency in all basic digital tools, including Google Apps, is a must
  • Familiarity with social media content best practices for business is desired
  • Familiarity with basic digital marketing practices is desired
  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS (knowledge of basic HTML) is a must
  • Experience with Google Analytics is a plus
  • Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Outlook, Basecamp, DonorPerfect and FileMaker Pro is a plus
  • Experience working with video content for the social and digital environment, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook Live, Vimeo, and light editing in Adobe Premiere Pro a plus
  • Passion for film and the Bay Area arts community is a huge plus
