Job Description

In addition, this role is responsible for the maintenance, modification, and installation of electrical systems at WBSL. You will also be expected to diversify your role such that you will assist with other general maintenance tasks. The role will primarily be based at the Leavesden site but from time to time you may be required to work off site.

The Daily
  • Monitor completion of tasks ensuring highest standards of work.
  • Monitor H&S compliance, such as correct PPE being worn, as per the H&S at Work Act and WBSL H&S Policy.
  • Reporting progress and updates via the two-way radio system.
  • Ensure that the sites electrical and mechanical equipment are looked after in such a way as to maintain continuous operation and legal compliance.
  • Set approved levels of conduct for work methodology within the team.
  • Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems via the BMS.
  • Carry out small installation works and modifications to existing systems.
  • Fault finding, ensuring satisfactory fault rectification.
  • Undertaking general maintenance tasks and survey inspections including areas at height.
  • Audit and review of all stock levels and report to the Senior Electrician any required orders.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practise guidelines.
  • Provide out of hours electrical cover for all WB clients.
  • Provide assistance and direction to contractors employed within the studio.
The Essentials
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours.
  • Be standards driven and detailed orientated.
  • Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must hold a full UK driving license
  • Fully qualified ‘Approved Electrician’ with AM2 and City & Guilds 236-2 or equivalent.
  • BS7671 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations Accreditation.
  • Electricity at Work act awareness.
  • JIB/ECS card.
  • 2391 inspecting and testing would be advantageous.
Working Pattern:

You will be required to work a 40 hour week. You will also be required to work evenings and weekends in line with the operating hours of the studio and the studio tour. There will be a requirement to respond to emergencies in and out of normal working hours. You will be required to work some bank holidays.
