Job Summary/Description:

WTOC-TV, the dominant CBS affiliate in Savannah, GA is seeking an executive producer to join our team. This position is responsible for the overall look and editorial content of a bulk of our newscasts and will work directly with our producing team to put these newscasts on the air successfully. This position also works hand in hand with other members of our news management staff to ensure we are meeting the mark across all platforms throughout the day. This person should also have a great understanding of digital platforms and how to best utilize them within a newsroom. Being an executive producer at WTOC also entails helping with hiring, coaching, training and evaluating news employees, working on special projects, helping with planning for big events, and helping to develop and implement strategic changes within the news department. The executive producer will also work very closely with our operations manager on the execution of our newscasts. The ideal candidate should be both a team player and a team leader and should have solid news judgement. We're looking for a positive person who works well with others and looks for solutions to problems and creates opportunities when they see them. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of TV news producing experience and either prior management or demonstrated leadership experience. Only qualified applicants should apply.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- At least 5 years of TV News producing experience
- College degree in journalism or related field
- Prior management or demonstration of leadership experience
- Experience working with Automation a plus
