The Role

The role of the Dailies Colorist to support the growing team in Atlanta. The Dailies Colorist will be responsible for applying LUTs, CDLs, scene-to-scene grade matching, and working closely with dailies operators, producers, and the senior dailies colorist to ensure timely delivery of processed deliverables on a daily basis. This position requires a thorough understanding and proven knowledge of color correction as it relates to the dailies process for both feature and episodic workflows. The Dailies Colorist must be extremely organized and artistically driven, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of process simultaneously. The Dailies Colorist will report directly to the Senior Dailies Colorist & Pipeline Manager with oversight from the Picture Post management team.

Primary Responsibilities

Process client footage according to the specifications provided by dailies producer
Apply onset color or make manual color adjustments as required
QC both processed dailies and OCN to identify issues in camera original and rendered media
Ensure timeliness and technical accuracy of every client delivery
Communicate with dailies producers and dailies pipeline manager on a daily basis throughout the duration of a project to ensure client satisfaction is met
Abide by strict security for client’s intellectual property
Shift work schedule, where necessary, and be open to nights, weekends, and travel work
Track and report bugs or crashes in software/hardware
Other duties, as required and assigned
Requirements - Experience and Skills

Strong attention to detail, especially visually
1+ years of color experience on episodic/feature projects
Effective communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Clear understanding of video standards, transcoding software, framerates, resolutions, and aspect ratios
Experience working with media from the latest digital cinema cameras (RED, Alexa, Venice, VariCam etc.)
Established understanding of color correction and its function in dailies (credit list outlining previously worked projects is a plus)
Experience working with the some of the latest color grade platforms, such as Resolve, OSD, EXD, Baselight, Daylight
Basic computer networking knowledge is a plus
Mac OS proficient
Knowledge in Filmlight Daylight, Colorfront, Davinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Work Environment & Activities

Location based work Atlanta Facility
Onsite with remote support in some circumstances
Lifting equipment, hand movements, talking, and listening
