Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Help initiate and implement publicity campaigns for assigned SHOWTIME original series, documentaries, acquisitions and specials including coverage with national media, talent publicity trips, press junkets and on-set media visits in support of assigned projects.
  • Build and disseminate programming information to national and local print, online and broadcast media.
  • Help write press releases, storylines, talking points/guidance, talent and producer bios, photo/art selections and build talent itineraries.
  • Establish professional relationships, trust and credibility with the national media by maintaining day-to-day contact with journalists/editors/bookers to build program awareness.
  • Liaise with producers, talent and their management to facilitate ongoing publicity support for series, documentaries and specials.
  • Nurture relationships internally with other departments to maintain open channels of communication.
  • Coordinate and observe interviews with talent, production personnel for assigned original and acquired programming, including Showtime executives as needed.
  • Flag issues of concern to EVP/SVP/VP of Communications and talent relations as needed.
  • Work on distribution of video clips for talent appearances, assisting reporters with photo and screener requests and when applicable coordinating mailings on assigned projects.
  • Work with show partner to keep producers, talent and programming executives abreast of coverage on their projects, work with coordinator to build and manage the show clip packet pre and post premiere.
  • Help support all show-related festivals, panels, roundtables as well as when needed work LA-based red carpet premieres and assist with FYC events. Walk talent down a red carpet. Assist with press, photo and talent needs during events.
