Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Publicity 
  • Supervise all aspects of Pixar’s social media efforts (for Pixar and PixarStyle) with Pixar’s Creative Director and Disney’s digital teams, including concepts, content, creative approvals and production efforts, when necessary. This includes social-specific shoots on campus with filmmakers/artists
  • Coordinate the Worldwide Press Junket and US Premiere with Disney PR, including filmmaker schedules, each day’s activities and any necessary travel/grooming required
  • Collect and maintain a database of all Hometown-Heroes associated with individual films Implement all Hometown-Heroes interviews that result
  • Lead necessary filmmaker/artist Media Training with outside vendor including scheduling and Talk Points to guide the conversation/training
  • Run development, creation and approvals of each film’s Production Notes
  • Handle scheduling and shoots associated with Electronic Press Kit (EPK) development and creation by Disney PR, as well as filmmaker/artist approvals
  • Be responsible for the creation and submission of all Annies (ASIFA) Awards related submission reels, in conjunction with relevant production department heads and in-house Editors
  • Identify, develop and potentially pitch publicity opportunities and story ideas to improve both domestic and/or international PR efforts
  • Prepare timely follow-up communication, status reports, results reporting, and press breaks as needed
  • Coordinate additional special projects as required
  • Act as support on all Global PR efforts (across all of Disney’s lines of business), along with the rest of Pixar PR Team
Relationships
  • Develop and maintain a close and communicative relationship with key Pixar Production contacts, filmmakers and talent
  • Develop and maintain a close and communicative relationship with key Disney Theatrical Marketing, PR, Home Entertainment, Consumer Products, Theme Parks, and other counterparts (across all of Disney’s lines of business)
  • Develop and maintain network of select mass-media and trade contacts (in conjunction with Disney’s Publicists)
Events
  • Staff related domestic and/or international PR events, press tours, junkets and premieres​
Awards Submissions/Season
  • Supervise the creation and submission of all Annies (ASIFA) Awards submission related reels, in conjunction with relevant production department heads and in-house Editors
  • Oversee select awards submissions
  • Coordinate travel/logistics for nominees and staff select awards season events/activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in publicity, communications, marketing or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field preferred
  • Industry experience required
  • Network of mass-media and trade press and/or relevant events/film festivals contacts preferred
SKILLS:
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
