SCAD Atlanta seeks a junior editor to produce high-quality videos using stellar non-linear editing, color correcting, and audio mixing skills.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for the editing, encoding, and compression of material produced for the office of the president. You will also prepare videos for social media and web publishing and deliver files to the university streaming server using your knowledge of bandwidth, codecs, encoding, file formats, and streaming protocols. Though most of the content will be multi-camera interviews between university leadership and current art and design thought-leaders, you will also develop new formats and shooting styles.
The successful candidate is flexible and can pivot quickly with last-minute schedule changes and demanding requests. Experience with relevant software is essential, including Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro; Avid; and DaVinci Resolve. Additionally, the candidate has an eye for detail, maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor, and demonstrates exceptional time management skills. The candidate is well organized and can also effectively implement archiving systems and execute multiple tasks with efficiency and quality. Knowledge of the latest editing styles and equipment is a must, as is the drive to continually research, seek out inspiration, and provide recommendations that keep SCAD video content at the level expected of a leader in art and design.
