Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for editing news and sports content in our evening newscasts and occasionally shooting news as well.
- Consistent use of the following software programs: Grass Valley Edius, Stratus, Adobe Premiere, DropBox, WeTransfer, Avid iNews, Microsoft Outlook
- Long-form editing of special projects/sweeps stories
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job, if not currently employed by Weigel Broadcasting Co.
- On-site work required. Remote work is not available.
- Previous experience with any editing program is required.
- High School diploma and/or GED, College Degree preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- Should have a keen eye for detail, be happy to work under pressure, and be flexible with scheduling.
