Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Produce full newscasts for both on-air and the live stream.
- Plan and shoot programming components, including teases, introductions and tosses.
- Write headlines and short news alerts for live stream programming.
- Write compelling, well-researched digital video scripts when assigned.
- Produce digital video when assigned.
- Assist in coverage of major news events and breaking news to ensure high quality consistent community coverage.
- Update and interact with fans/followers on social media.
- May anchor/host content for all platforms.
- Meet established deadlines.
- Perform other duties as needed and directed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required and/or one year experience in live stream or TV line producing.
- 0 - 1 year experience.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional contributor with ability to work with a team.
- Basic camera operation skills.
- May be responsible for entire projects or functions where general guidance and training of less experienced professional and/or support personnel are needed.
- Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to results expected.
- Advanced knowledge of organization's technologies and practices.
- Exceptional command of the English language.
- Exceptional organization.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage resources.
- Some travel required < 10%.
