Job Summary/Description:

WWBT, Richmond, VA has an immediate opening for a Technical Media Producer. A TMP combines the roles of a traditional newscast director and master control operator. A Successful candidate will have experience switching live television, be it in a newscast or a master control setting. Responsibilities include monitoring and logging playback of multiple over the air channels. Monitor and edit automation playlists to ensure correct playback of programming and commercial content. Monitor air to ensure WWBT is adhering to FCC and station guidelines. Ingest commercial content and programming from multiple sources including but not limited to Satellite feeds, FTP delivery, Pitchblue, and Pathfire. Direct newscasts using Ross Overdrive. Operate robotic studio cameras. Assign wireless mics and IFBs to talent as needed. Strong computer and communications skills are required. Knowledge of Crispin automation and Ross Overdrive are both a definite plus. WWBT operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

A successful candidate may be asked to work any shift including weekends or holidays. 3 – 5 years experience is preferred. If you are someone with a technical background and you enjoy a fast paced live television environment this position may be a perfect fit for you.
