About KMVT: KMVT is the dominant news source for the Magic Valley. KMVT is located in Twin Falls, Idaho, a community along the Snake River, known for its amazing canyon, and Shoshone Falls. Twin Falls is a rapidly growing community, in the midst of amazing agriculture and recreation. If you are looking for some of the best scenery in the country, we got it! The Snake River Canyon will be a moments' drive away from the station. You'll be able to see the Snake River winding for miles about 500 feet below you while you are on break. If you time it out right, you might even see some BASE jumpers jumping off of the Perrine Bridge! On those hot summer days when you need to cool off, go get your kayak or paddle board and traverse up-and-down the river, or take a dip in Dierkes Lake. Less than 3/4 of a mile away from Dierkes Lake, is Shoshone Falls which is taller than Niagara Falls. Balanced Rock can also make for some fantastic photo-ops when the sun is setting.

Job Summary/Description:

This is a dual position that includes producing and anchoring weekend weathercast, special weather programs and webcasts, contributing to the station website and serving as a multimedia reporter for science-related news coverage.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

We report news on every platform available to our viewers. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to report, shoot video, edit video, post web stories/pictures/video from both the field and television station. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to report, shoot video, edit video, post web stories/pictures/video from both the field and television station. Successful candidates will also have the ability to deliver compelling stories. You’ll use the latest technology, including lightweight next generation video equipment and laptop editing. Duties of this job include live reporting, creative shooting, writing, editing and posting of news stories, both hard news and features.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in meteorology or related field. 
- Proven ability to write news copy and report.
