Job brief

We are looking for a full-time Mindfulness Content Creator. This role will be critical for the creation of meditations, in-app activities, and projects that uphold and implement MyLife’s overall content strategy. In this role, you will utilize your skills as a writer, editor, meditation practitioner, and project manager to bring practical, engaging mindfulness-based content to our growing audience. Responsibilities

  • Conceive, pitch, and execute potential series, coordinate narrator auditions, and research collaborators as part of overall content development
  • Support the Director of Content Strategy + Production and Associate Director of Mindfulness Content with managing collaborator relationships, script editing, and asset collection
  • Write and edit meditation scripts, activity descriptions, and in-app copy according to strict deadlines. Top-edit work from internal staffers and outside contributors.
  • Develop mindfulness-based instructional guidelines for teachers with MyLife for Schools.  
  • Review and report pertinent analytics to the content team on a recurring basis for constant evaluation and improvement. 
  • Maintain the integrity of the meditation and mindfulness practices offered on the platform.
Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of personal meditation practice including several multi-day retreats and an interest in the pedagogy and scaffolding of meditation instruction.    
  • 3-5 years writing for a national digital media platform, app or comparable outlet. 
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Team player and self-starter, comfortable sharing ideas in a group setting and then running with respective work.
  • Strong communication skills — you’re open to providing and receiving feedback.
  • Familiar with AP Style, top-editing (both receiving and conducting) and general editing workflow.
  • Familiar with hiring outside talent, building and maintaining agency relationships, and upholding brand integrity for every piece of content.
  • Able to multitask and shepherd a number of projects at different stages of production.
  • Avid consumer of content — you’re always interested in what different outlets, platforms, and sources are crafting.
