Job Description

The Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and animating motion design elements for brand, promo and 360 marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Design Director, he/she/they will create motion design and animation for on-air promos, network branding projects, marketing initiatives, secondary events, show packages, social and more.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce an array of design content for OWN's in-house Brand Creative department
  • Contribute to all stages of creative development, from research and storyboarding to animation/production and final delivery
  • Operate as a member of the Design team to complete projects on time and on budget and to the highest quality
  • Collaborate with Design Director, Design Project Manager, and Creative Director to meet creative and production goals
  • Participate in creative pitches to internal teams as well as outside clients
  • Work with Writer / Producers, Editors and the Production team to develop on-brand strategic solutions
  • Maintain the highest creative, conceptual and production standards, while constantly ensuring brand integrity and consistency
  • Stay current and up-to-date with current design trends, techniques and processes
  • Work towards to the ongoing growth and evolution of the Design team and the development of the OWN brand
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Motion Graphics experience working at a network or broadcast design agency
  • Passion for show packaging and knowledge of current trends
  • Passion for smart, functional design, and an understanding of the balance between information and entertainment
  • Strong at concept & storyboard design
  • Strong design and typography skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, deadline driven and a good collaborator
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects (2.5D, C4D > AE, keying, rotoscoping, compositing, color grading, etc.)
  • Working knowledge in Google Slides and G Suite
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment while paying attention to detail
  • A positive, open mind that is focused on having a creative point of view with the understanding of performance creative
  • Solid communication skills with excellent collaborative efforts in a team environment
