Job Summary/Description:

WTVY News seeks a talented and energetic journalist to join our award-winning team. We are looking for an MMJ who can shoot, write and report news for News 4.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

- Enterprise at least two local story ideas daily
- Shoot, write, report and produce stories for TV, web and social
- Be credible, authoritative and conversational on-air in live and breaking situations
- Post content to website and station social media platforms
- Participate in station sponsored events/promotions and represent the station in the community

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
- Strong on-air communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a news team
- Ability to shoot, edit, write and produce news stories
- Proficient in social media platforms
- Experience as an intern at a commercial TV station preferred
