Job Summary/Description:

7 News, the north country's news leader, is looking for a full-time MMJ. We pride ourselves on helping younger reporters hone their writing, photography, and broadcasting skills in an award winning newsroom filled with journalists who have decades of experience in the market. We're looking for candidates who are passionate about news, storytelling, and local journalism that matters.   

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

· Photograph and edit video of news events as assigned.
· Report on and write stories about news events.
· Uncover, develop and report original and "enterprise" stories.
· Serve as “live” reporter.
· Position requires the use of camera equipment.
· Perform any additional tasks as directed by management.
· Produce, assign, and anchor as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- College degree in journalism or related field preferred.
- Position requires a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
- Professional appearance
- Knowledge of camera, editing software (Sony, Panasonic, Edius, Adobe Premiere, etc.)
- General knowledge of news producing software (ENPS, Ross Inception, etc.)
- Candidates must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of broadcast equipment.
