Job Description

The Multimedia Producer supports the creation of compelling stories that enhance the Charter brand for internal and external audiences across multiple websites and social platforms.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary responsibilities include pre-production, production and post-production of videos
  • Support the creation of multimedia content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external social videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects
  • Film video segments in the studio and in the field in partnership with Multimedia Director
  • Edit videos to meet creative vision
  • Create graphics independently or with the support of designers and animators
  • Optimize video content for internal/external syndication and social sharing and make recommendations for improvement
  • Employ best practices and meet deadlines to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Ensure all creative work adheres to Charter’s standards and builds the brand
  • Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Working knowledge of the production process for local content, including studio set-up, remote production, editing and post-production
  • Expertise in operating consumer and prosumer production cameras (e.g. Sony FS5)
  • Expertise in the latest versions of video editing software, including the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Adobe Premiere expertise required. Knowledge of After Effects and other Creative Cloud components preferred)
  • Expertise in color and sound correction for film and video
  • Expertise in balancing, framing and lighting for video concepts
  • Expertise in script writing, storyboarding and creating shot sheets for film, video and audio production
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and the ability to create engaging short-form videos for different social media platforms
  • Ability to communicate with employees, customers and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work while standing 50-70% of time
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College coursework in Communications or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience
  • 4-6 years Film and/or video content production experience
  • Advertising agency, creative services experience

  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Travel up to 30%
