Job Description
KZTV, the E.W. Scripps CBS station in Corpus Christi, Texas, is looking for its next Photographer II. As a Photographer you'll work on the Coastal Living show, capturing and editing visual content for multiple platforms. You'll also operate various other equipment used for news gathering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Capture and edit visual content and long-form creative content / photography for multiple platforms.
- Work in tandem with newsroom personnel, talent and clients to create and develop news stories.
- Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite and related news gathering equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Associate’s degree in related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience as a photographer preferred.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Proficiency with lighting, audio and computer-based editing.
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites.
- Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis.
- Proficiency with live microwave truck operation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Driving Required. Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
