Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Post Production Coordinators are responsible for the seamless execution of the post production process, during which they support the Post Production Manager and Post Production Supervisor, helping to provide clear, up-to-date information and maintaining excellent channels of communication between the producer, editor, audio mixer, colorist, graphic artist, line producer, production manager, and operations and delivery teams.  This role is in Paramount Global’s Editorial Post Production Operations department, supporting post production for all Paramount Global brands, digital activations, and tentpole events. Although this is not a creative role, it is pivotal in ensuring that a project’s post production timeline is accomplished in a smooth fashion.

Duties include:    
  • Assisting Post Production Manager and Post Production Supervisor through the post process of each production
  • Planning, coordinating and scheduling finishing including VFX, color correction, VO/ADR, and audio mixing
  • Onboarding post production project-based editors, AEs, audio mixers, colorists, etc. with Paramount systems and hardware
  • Facilitating courier and shipping requests for physical assets and media
  • Tracking all media and resources entering and exiting the Hollywood facility
  • Scheduling of resources including personnel, technology, rooms, and remote collaboration tools
  • Working with VP of Post Production on meeting agendas and meeting minutes
  • Tracking all post production department requests and ensuring requests are fulfilled 
  • Updating tracking software with resource bookings, post calendars, and other utilization data
  • Working with media coordinators and media managers to ensure all media is ingested, prepped, and ready for edit
  • Communicating with individual show teams, the ops department, and Paramount executives with up-to-date information on projects in post production
  • Working with editorial teams to ensure proper metadata and paperwork are fulfilled
  • Working closely with our Production Technologies and Licensing groups to provide the necessary tools and plugins to the editorial teams
  • Maintaining rolodex and assisting with recruitment of freelance post production roles
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BA in Film Production or equivalent experience

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge of the Post Production process, key milestones, and nomenclature
  • Knowledge of Adobe CC, Avid, and FCP
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, Airtable, and Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with MediaSilo, SHIFT, and/or Frame.io
  • Project Tracking and Project Management especially with competing priorities
  • Multitasking and follow-through
  • Highly-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Desire to learn and develop
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This position may be subject to reporting to the Paramount Hollywood office on occasion as needed.  Must be available to work off-hours and weekends as needed.
