Job Description

This position reports to the Head of AV Production and will work closely with the AV Producers to ensure that each element of a video project is completed on time and on budget in the most effective and efficient manner possible. The Post Production Specialist will be highly organized with a keen focus on minute details and a strong multi-tasking capacity. Great inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and out-of-house departments/individuals, including asset management, content security, agencies, vendors, etc. The Post Production Specialist must possess experience in the post production space. This includes a basic understanding of multiple production and post production pipelines; most important being AV production pipelines for media management, editorial post-production, audio mixing, finishing, motion graphic design and animation. The Post Production Specialist will dynamically support & execute the assigned title’s digital needs, distributing creative materials to A-list talent, filmmakers, & vendors.

Key job responsibilities
• Coordinate operational aspects of scheduling for internal projects (trailers, tv spots, promos, sizzles, etc.) from inception to completion. This role will work in support of the AV Producers to ensure video resources are meeting overall campaign timelines, content security and budgets.
• Fluent in AV formats with an understanding of the fundamentals of post production, asset management, servicing, and trafficking.
• Coordinate access permissions for production storage & highly sensitive materials; Transcoded, edited, & watermarked video files; Manage migration of digital assets from production storage to studio archive.
• Create reference packages with creative materials for franchise/PR/licensing/toy companies.
• Effectively manage archive of digital assets through metadata entry such as formatting & entering metadata.
• Create accounts and train new users on asset management tools; supporting 3rd unit production crew on effective use of archival and WIP systems.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Creative Production, Asset management, AV producers, PR, etc. on footage to be trafficked to external post vendors, dubbing studios and agencies.
• Report and coordinate the delivery of raw material of both in-house and out-of-house shoots to all respective parties.
• Coordinate with studio asset management and studio post for footage request transfers to vendors. This includes acting as the lead coordinator with Studio Post team to make asset requests.
• Set up vendor share folders and loading materials in box as needed.
• Source/prep review links of WIP assets (presentations/reviews/internal & external routing/testing).
• Assist with augmenting Metadata tagging in vault (including adding music clearances /embargo dates to the files in vault matching the wiki terms)
• Route assets for select clearances (broadcast/in Cinema/ etc.)
• Asset on-boarding support, such as coordinating access to tools like Media Silo/ BOX/Vault/Pix/Moxion/Smartsheets/Tenovos, etc as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in film, media, production, marketing or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years' relevant experience at a creative agency, network or studio as a facility scheduler or post coordinator.
• Experience building and overseeing post production schedules for series or movies.
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Avid, Aspera, BOX and asset management tools such as 5th kind, Moxion, Tenovos, etc.
• Prior experience with image production, transfer protocols, digital asset management and publishing content for web.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• International Marketing Series or Theatrical Experience.
• Understanding of show post production workflows and storage needs.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic knowledge of workflow within a marketing, production company, or editorial house.
• Expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, monitor, and manage workload.
• Basic understanding of AV specs and file formats.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent writing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• The ability to stay calm in the midst of chaos is essential to this role.
• Ready to jump into any situation and support the campaign needs
• Basic video editing experience & experience managing external agencies for live action production.
• Localization experience a BIG plus.
