Job Description
As a News Producer you will execute news content for timely and compelling newscasts and digital content using contemporary graphics and production techniques. Work with reporters and photojournalists on assigned content, develop ideas, research topics and book guests, log footage, and organize scripts and rundowns.
- Position requires someone with multiplatform news skills and a passion to deliver news in a compelling way to our viewers, excellent news judgment including an understanding of the importance of breaking news and severe weather coverage, writing and copy-editing skills, and an understanding of branding, maintaining and growing a brand with a high standard of quality and attention to detail in a deadline driven environment.
- Excellent writing and effective communication skills, innovation, creativity and a desire to win are essential.
- Ideal candidate has a background and experience in producing local newscasts.
