Job Description
Responsibilities will include:
- Edit various unscripted and scripted projects including full episodic shows- both long-form and shortform, and promos;
- Incorporate graphics and audio;
- Ensure quality and integrity of final delivered assets for broadcast;
- Organize assets into asset management tool (training will be provided); ensuring it is properly labeled, stored, media-managed and archived
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with courses in radio/TV broadcasting, including production, direction and writing of programs; or
2. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of
experience in radio or TV broadcasting including writing, directing, producing and tape work; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent, but all candidates must have a high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
Preferred Skills
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with courses in radio/TV broadcasting, including production, direction and writing of programs; or
2. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of
experience in radio or TV broadcasting including writing, directing, producing and tape work; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent, but all candidates must have a high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- The preferred candidate should possess the following:
- 5 years of experience in non-linear editing,
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro CC;
- Demonstrated ability to work on both long- and short-form unscripted and scripted projects to be linked to on resume;
- Working knowledge of broadcast technical specifications, and working understanding of technical and media management workflows;
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro CC;
- Experience with Photoshop and After Effects is a plus;
- Team player;
- Comfortable working from a script, hand in hand with a producer, and working independently by selecting footage and developing the storyline of a program;
- Experience in story development and story editing strongly preferred;
- Good understanding of the post-production process, interfacing efficiently with graphic artists, audio engineers, as well as production managers.
- Highly organized, keeping track of all necessary assets, delivery industry standard products, archiving media managed projects according to internal guidelines.
