Job Description

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a talented and experienced Producer based in Miami. The successful candidate needs to execute timing of live shows and interviews and make last minute decisions. The candidate must be a strong writer in both the Spanish and English language, must be able to field produce and travel on short notice during breaking news coverage. He or she must have an excellent news sense, provide concise research, book newsmakers, conduct interviews, coordinate production and event logistics, write scripts and oversee editing until the story is on the air. The candidate should maintain good and clear communication with managers as well as the show’s executive producer, anchors, production team, assignment desk and technical crews.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
  • Research, write and produce new stories
  • Create and develop original content for program 
  • Work closely with executive producer on developing the rundown of the program
  • Manage line production for live or taped show
  • Work closely with Talent in the production of the program
  • Book interesting guests for the shows as needed
YOU HAVE:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as segment producer for live news program or line producing capacity, with demonstrated ability to work in a control room
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of INews.
  • Strong creative vision and have good editorial judgement
  • Strong understanding of Hispanic market, specifically within Entertainment
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • PC proficient (Microsoft Office)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish verbal and written skills
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours
