Job Description

Lucasfilm Franchise Production is the creator of animated content such as Lego Star Wars, Star Wars Visions and the upcoming Young Jedi Adventures. We also make un-scripted content such as The Gallery and Light & Magic. 

We’re looking for a versatile Production Assistant to join the team. The Production Assistant will provide overall administrative support for all departments.

What you’ll do
  • Provides administrative support to the production team; ensures all projects are run smoothly, efficiently and professionally
  • Assists in populating internal production/creative tracking systems with asset naming conventions and other pertinent data needed.
  • Schedules and organizes meetings for various productions & departments; works with coordinators, producers, and EAs to schedule production meetings as-needed
  • Gathers materials for turnovers, kickoffs, review sessions, etc., including gathering reference, managing/filing incoming submissions and maintaining the database
  • Types meeting notes, documents and schedules
  • Photocopies and Scans images/reference/schedules and files
  • Uploads and downloads digital material from Secure FTP/Transfer Folders
  • Prepares routine correspondence and forms; packages, ships, and tracks electronic as well as physical files and deliverables.
  • Assists with food service and catering set up.
  • Completes special projects as needed or requested
What we’re looking for
  • 1+ year of experience in Production preferred, preferably in animation
  • Requires excellent administrative skills, including word processing, strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and G Suite. Project Management software experience preferred.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team. High level of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow up/follow through
  • Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure, fast paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. Ability to work in a start-up environment that has a certain degree of ambiguity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in film, art, communications or related field preferred.
The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $41,501.25-$53,707.50 per year.
