Summary

Bally Sports Midwest is looking for a Production Coordinator! This position is responsible for assisting the SR Manager of Operations in coordinating sporting events for Bally Sports Midwest, Indiana and Kansas City.

Job Description

Coordinates assigned events (communicates with mobile truck vendors, crewers, facilities, broadcast partners and production personnel).  Creates Production Information Books for every remote event that contain all relevant operations information including truck, crew and production team contacts, technical requirements, transmission, and facility information.  Checks in at every assigned remote event including after office hours and acts as the daily office contact for Engineers, Producers, Directors and Talent working at remote sites. Also, serves as on-site Operations contact for live events when needed.  Assists with equipment organization and shipping between broadcast locations.  Acts as a liaison with other broadcasters and team partners. Interfaces with other regions regarding sharing elements, equipment, and personnel.  Participates in associated meetings and conference calls.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate assigned events by communicating with mobile truck vendors, crewers, facilities, broadcast partners and production personnel.
  • Create Production Information Books for every remote event that contain all relevant operations information including truck, crew and production team contacts, technical requirements, transmission, and facility information. 
  • Tracks and reviews crew assignments for remote and studio productions
  • Checks in at every assigned remote event including after office hours and acts as the daily office contact for production and technical personnel working at remote sites.
  • Serves as on-site Operations contact for live events when needed. 
  • Assists with equipment organization and shipping between broadcast locations.
  • Acts as a liaison with other broadcasters and team partners and interfaces with other regions regarding sharing elements, equipment, and personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 2-3 years previous broadcast production experience is preferred
  • Must have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Good organizational and project coordination skills are needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required
  • Ability to work flexible hours is also necessary
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work as a member of a team are necessary
  • Knowledge of remote production and technical equipment is a plus
  • Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50 pounds)
  • There will also be occasional work in the in the field at stadiums, locker rooms, media presentations, and in a studio production environment
  • Occasional presence will be needed on weeknights and weekends
