Job Description

Position Summary

For this position, the associate will be cross-trained and expected to perform the jobs of Stage Manager and Utility. Assignments will include performing
any of the above jobs in alternating roles during the course of a shift or work week. This position is able to effectively handle all production job functions in
all live shows and productions for The Weather Channel, weather.com, and other related initiatives, accepting new assignments and technological
challenges as required to support future company initiatives and an ever- changing dynamic broadcasting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

STAGE MANAGING

Give time cues to anchors, ensure anchors are in correct studio positions during show
Communicate changes to the studio anchors.
Prior to show time, ensure all set monitors and prompter monitors are working
When necessary, ensure all lights are on and if not, alert the Director
Be able to move set pieces into position and plug in electrical set pieces.
Inform show director of all studio issues that may impact the show.

UTILITY

Expected to move set pieces or other staging items as needed for production needs.
Assist with cable management of cameras during shows.
Control and manipulate mechanical set pieces as needed
Work with Lighting Director on staging and lighting maintenance or improvements
May be required to lift lighting fixtures, move scenery or other equipment. The weight may range from 20-100 lbs. Anything over 25 lbs would be carried by multiple crew members.

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a live television environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
Unquestionable ethical standards.
Extremely adaptable and flexible in the face of varying demands
Ability to work as a self-starter with minimum supervision
