Job Description

Senior Style Editor

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

Style content for a broad range of subject matters including food, home, holiday, entertaining, and garden content.  Collaborate with editorial teams and clients to create high quality content for photography and video content.  Always remain trend forward to assure your work remains timely and current as interpreted by your supervisor and brand creative leadership.  Manage freelance resources and track projects as assigned by Style Director.

II. Essential Job Functions

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

70% Ideate and concept story ideas. Prop and style for photography including: Creating mood boards, presentations to pitch ideas, designing sets and set components. Source materials, furniture, and props to dress set or tabletop.

20% Work with PR to source current product & resources and track sourcing. Keep track of schedules and meet photography deadlines. Maintain prop/product organization as assigned. Communicate and direct outside freelancers on projects as assigned.

10% Trend forecasting: Be up on current design trends – interior, entertaining, garden & holiday.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

Associate degree or comparable work experience. ( 6 + years in related field )

An interest in interiors & garden design, market trends and content creation for print/digital and video.

Experience:

This is a creative position that will require a visual portfolio of past related content work.

A general knowledge of Photography to be needed to collaborate with Photographers and set construction staff.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of InDesign, Word, Power Point, Photoshop

% Travel Required (Approximate):    10% Limited travel as assigned for projects.
