Essential Job Functions
- Write and/or optimize at least 3 stories per day across all content verticals
- Brainstorm and commission ideas for improving our search content
- Collaborate with our social, newsletter, SEO, and print departments
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelors’ degree in Journalism or related field
Experience:
- 3-5 years of digital experience
- Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Incredible writing, editing, and brainstorming skills
- Deep understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research tools such as a SEMRush
- A proven track record of creating content that drives traffic and engagement
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
- A strategic thinker who considers traffic and analytics before making an editorial decision
- An idea generator who can think of new, fresh ways to package content
- Excellent people skills
- Enthusiastic about the Real Simple brand and the topics we cover
