The Knicks Shooter-Editor will be responsible for concepting, shooting, editing and managing content.
This position specializes in wearing multiple hats throughout the production process, including concepting, shoot prep, operating photo/video cameras, light design, audio, photo/video editing, and producing. You’re a positive-energy creative who can produce quality content end-to-end with minimal oversight. You’re knowledgeable about all tv/digital mediums across various platforms and be able to create multimedia content accordingly.
What will you do?
- Shoot games and practices, and develop a variety of content based on that footage from quick-turn edits for social to player or milestone-focused hype reels to longer-form storytelling
- Shoot and edit videos for campaigns and tentpole moments throughout the season (Marketing campaigns including: Ticketing, Playoffs, etc)
- Pitch and develop deeper narrative ideas from concept to completion
- Shoot and edit multiple video pieces simultaneously for various channels, including Social, In-Arena, and TVCs
- Work in conjunction with outside talent, brands and content producers on Knicks branded content
- Support other shooter-editors with more involved shoots requiring multiple cameras, a mix of photo and video, audio, waivers, etc.
What do you need to succeed?
- 3-7 years of experience required, with college or pro team, or creative agency/production company preferred
- Experience shooting and editing documentaries or other non-fiction/reality content preferred
- Demonstrated experience with postproduction and graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere & After Effects
- Experience with sound mixing and color correction preferred
- Motion Graphics capabilities a plus
- Knowledgeable about various cameras, equipment, shooting and editing styles and techniques
- MUST have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts when needed. You must be able to work within the practice and game schedules. This position will sometimes shoot at games and
- Understanding and knowledge of basketball
- Candidate should be nimble and calm under pressure
- Should have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of music and popular culture
- Must be able to manage fast paced workload

Operation of camera equipment
Normal office environment (when we’re in the office). May be expected to lift approximately 20 pounds. Occasional long hours depending on the schedule and season. Must be flexible to work nights or weekends to cover games and events.
