The Shooter/Editor- Photo, will be responsible for developing photo content for the portfolio of MSGE brands. This position specializes in wearing multiple hats in the production process including shoot prep, operating camera, lighting, editing.
He/She will shoot and edit photos to support our Production department on MSGE related content. The Shooter/Editor-Photo is responsible for ensuring all digital files, which are created on a daily basis, are reviewed, edited and processed in a timely fashion, enabling the Marketing Production Department to service the event photo needs of all company departments and divisions. The shooter/editor- Photo is also responsible for reviewing the film archive and making selections for the company photo database. The position also assists in fulfilling photo requests on a regular basis. He/she will manage development, planning, and production of photos as well as ideate and concept digital content. Should be knowledgeable of all print and digital mediums across various platforms and be able to create photo content accordingly. Knowledge/expertise in the Music & Entertainment industry is a must!
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
Bring content to life in new and exciting ways through photography
Concept, execute and deliver compelling photos with tight turnaround times
Multitask on a variety of projects across all Entertainment properties
Work extremely closely and collaboratively with the various departments across the organization
Create content while ensuring consistency by following company brand, quality and legal standards
Plan, shoot, and edit multiple pieces of content for the company archives and current and emerging social platforms
Coordinate creative, technical, pre and post-production activities to acquire quality content
Handle critical deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced environment
Interact collaboratively and take direction in a 1 on 1 environment, as well as working independently
Monitors event calendar to ensure coverage.
Collaborates with strategy, creative, digital and production teams to concept and execute photo projects.
Has the technical knowledge to assist in managing the company-wide digital image management system, including training all new users, developing training manuals, establishing user protocols, troubleshooting, creating and implementing enhancements to the system, overseeing the addition of thousands of assets annually, ensuring accuracy on all metadata.
Ingest, log, tag and share media with various departments with very quick turnaround times
5 years of experience shooting musicians, celebrities, talent and lifestyle photography
Must have a portfolio of concert/venue, portrait and lifestyle photography demonstrating creative and artistic skills
Candidate should be nimble, detail oriented, calm under pressure, be able to multi-task, wear many hats
Superior strategic thinking, confidence, keen eye for detail, style, and a deep passion for music, entertainment, trends and popular culture.
Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive and innovative thinker.
Ability to deliver great work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Knowledgeable about various shooting, lighting and editing styles and techniques, expertise in small shoot set ups and large-scale venues
Demonstrated experience in all phases of production – conception, prep, shooting, editing, finishing, video or motion graphics capabilities a HUGE plus
Candidate MUST have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
