Job Description
This role reports to the Manager of Creative Development Resources
Responsibilities/You Will
- Write and script high-impact, consistent, creative materials that uphold Disney brand standards
- Actively contribute in brainstorming and blue-sky sessions
- Partner with creative and production teams in the development of the project
- Accountable for meeting the given timelines in providing requested material
- Fully research and develop ideas to ensure the quality and consistency of the written material
- Ensure documents adhere to formatting, nomenclature, sharing, and storage protocol
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in writing material for entertainment-related fields, including but not limited to film, TV, radio, and live stage production
- Strong communication and grammatical skills
- Proven ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work with all levels of management
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize
- Willingness to work holidays, nights, and weekends
- Strong computer, and word processing skills with a willingness to learn and navigate new software applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Disney stories, lore, and brand
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Theatre, Fine Arts, Literature, or a related field of study
Preferred Education
- Master's degree and/or education in a theatre-related field
