Summary

We’re hiring a Social Media Specialist who can help us more effectively manage social media campaigns. This role is integral to our marketing and branding strategy and will work collaboratively with the CMO and additional marketing team members. Our Social Media Specialist will implement social media strategy across all of Productions.com’s social channels, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the marketing team to ideate and calendar an engaging social media strategy. You will keep social media initiatives organized, on-time, engaging, and in-line with our overall marketing/brand goals. We're looking for a reliable professional who learns fast, is meticulous with their work, and delivers what they say they will deliver. We are seeking a marketing professional with social media marketing experience. It would be helpful (not required) to also have experience with marketing strategy, project management, email marketing, and/or copywriting.

We are Productions.com - the job marketplace for productions that connects studios, music labels and corporate brands to vetted local crew.

At our core, we believe that stakeholders should have access to experienced local production crew – regardless of where they shoot content - and that local crew should have access to consistent viable work opportunities in their hometown.  Surprisingly, studios import up to 70% of production crew members into production hubs as it is very challenging to find local crew. At the same time, experienced local crew in those same production hubs struggle to find work.  Our platform solves this disconnect by simplifying local production hiring which significantly reduces production budgets and creates local jobs.

  • Local crew members of all backgrounds can find consistent production work in their hometowns

Our Social Media Specialist will implement social media strategy across all of Productions.com’s social channels, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. We are seeking a marketing professional with social media marketing experience.  It would be helpful (not required) to also have experience with marketing strategy, project management, email marketing, and/or copywriting.
 
Who You’ll Work With:
This is a full-time role that reports directly to our CMO. You’ll work closely with our CMO and additional marketing team members and will also coordinate with other members of our small and mighty team.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Work with the CMO and marketing team to create impactful social media content
  • Create and publish engaging content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow our audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost sales and user growth
  • Manage and maintain and update weekly and monthly social media content calendars
  • Update stories on Instagram daily
  • Post daily, respond to questions and comments
  • Partner with CMO and marketing team to create graphics, videos and other creative content for social media purposes
  • Coordinate with CMO to build, grow, and execute social media strategies that align with business goals
  • Support and grow all of our social channels with quick daily customer response and customer engagement
  • Support and lead customer contest initiatives to increase customer engagement
  • Implement creative direction on social media
  • In conjunction with the other team members, influence the community and respond to questions with the appropriate brand voice and marketing-appropriate content
  • In conjunction with the other team members, support all events (live and virtual) with social media updates and other event administrative duties
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Measure the success of our social media efforts through weekly/monthly reporting and metrics
  • Manage busy marketing schedules that includes email management, social media content creation, calendaring, checking and updating project management system
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and company policies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications or related field preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience required in managing digital marketing for business
  • Social media marketing: 2 year (Required)
  • Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Content writing and marketing: 2 year (Preferred)
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Experience with HubSpot is a plus
  • Sales, customer service, or networking experience is a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to research and synthesize information
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and strong problem-solving skills
Job Requirements:  
  • Personal ownership of reliable desktop or laptop computer
  • Secure home internet access that allows for regular video calls
  • Quiet space to complete your work and video meetings without distraction or interruption
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to learn, deliver work on time and completely
  • Ability to meet (virtually with video) for individual and team meetings and work consistently on projects between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm EST Monday-Friday.
Additional Job Details:
  • 95% work from home (once or twice per year we may have in-person workshops and events, post-COVID-19)
