Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sr Project Manager will be responsible for: 
  • Manage and refine programmatic frameworks and projects working with cross-functional teams 
  • Lead large scale programs with minimum supervision or guidance with a focus on project planning, milestone tracking, issue identification, stakeholder management and change management 
  • Project manage multiple large-scale Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects, ensuring clear communication and superior execution of plans. 
  • Build and maintain project plans, outlining clear deliverables and working with key stakeholders to keep project on schedule and always apply a lens for process improvement and efficiency opportunities 
  • Leads large-scale analyses across HR functions and regions (e.g. global alignment and leveragability) 
  • Designs and delivers implementation plans for new processes and systems 
  • Serve in a critical influence and integration role across multiple business units and teams 
  • Support and refine the PMO branding, storytelling and communication strategy and implementation 
  • Effectively write, prepare, and build project documents, presentations, and business updates 
  • Performing discovery to deep dive into background, objectives, and details of the project 
  • Conducting analysis and creating an overall business case for a project initiative  
  • Appropriately scoping against project requirements (resources, timeline, budget) 
  • Identifying key stakeholders & level of influence on a project 
  • Coordinating stakeholder updates and ensuring appropriate escalations and risk assessment 
  • Developing project intake documentation including requirements, objectives, stakeholders, including analysis of timing constraints, & resource planning 
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with multiple HR PMO client & functional groups 
  • Communicating to align, and influence executives, leaders, peers and partners to support HR transformation programs and strategies  
  • Serves as a mentor for less experienced professionals within the group 
  • Self-starter, acts independently and recognizes when projects need to involve additional partners and decision makers and a demonstrated ability to customize solutions to the context and needs of the organization(s) 
To be successful at this role the Associate PM should (be): 
  • Understand and identify programmatic metrics and translate into digestible content to enable decision making 
  • Knowledgeable about the goals and priorities of the specific client group, able to help identify project opportunities to help solve business problems, build efficiencies, or improve processes 
  • Able and comfortable with working in cross-company, virtual teams. Develop approach for project intake meetings (e.g. meeting management, asking detailed questions etc) 
  • Excel at driving change and decision making through compelling storytelling and presentation of data and information to senior executives  
  • Ability to take multiple, complex concepts and distill into simple and actionable content 
  • Approach work objectively, asking tough questions, and learning from external best in class partners – while balancing our Disney values
